Malperdys is described thus: a refuge for the weary, the lost and the dispossessed. The current form is a crumbing, ancient house complete with non-Euclidean geometry and many more doors, windows and sides inside than would appear outside.

It stands in the midst of a foggy plain, whose flat ground extends in all directions. It’s possible to wander into that fog and walk for days, only to turn around and walk for less than 100 steps and find yourself back in sight of the house.

Walking around outside the house is headache-inducing when you realise you can see at least seven right-angles at the corners of the house. We expect a house of this size and shape to have four sides, but in truth Malperdys may have many more than this.

For those who find themselves in Malperdys, it is likely they have lost access to their own home reality, and as they are Unanchored they are vulnerable to the whims of any of the forces out there; from the wily Serpent People to the last of the Fallen Lords. Malperdys serves sometimes as a halfway-house for these Refugees until they can be found a new home.
